The destruction of Dragoncon by giant monsters is over for the year, but the monsters hope to return next year and continue their rampage!
We wanted to thank everyone who stopped by to play, watch, or take a picture of one of our Giant Monster Rampage demos. We also wanted to thank those of you who supported us by purchasing a copy of the game, so you could continue the rampage at home.
We had a lot of fun and hope you did as well! We hope to see you all again next year!
Just a quick update to remind everyone we will be running demos of Giant Monster Rampage 3rd edition Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in the miniatures section of the gaming hall at Dragoncon. The gaming hall is located in the lower level of the Hilton.
Demos start at 1pm on friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday. The event schedule only shows 5 demos, that is because of the way the event submission system is set up. We will be running as many demos as possible with the time we have. We will also be running demos of Atomic Super Humans 2nd edition featuring Ben 10 action figures for anyone interested in trying it out.
We had also said in previous posts that Matt Frank would be hanging out with us on Saturday. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control he will be unable to sit with us. He has said he will try and stop by and get in a game or two.
Lastly we will have around 20 print copies of Giant Monster Rampage 3rd edition for sale for $15 each.
We hope to see you there!
Radioactive Press will be running demos of Giant Monster Rampage 3rd edition Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the miniatures section of the gaming hall at Dragoncon. We will also have a few combatants from our other Toy Battle System games for those looking to play something other than a giant monster. There will also be a limited number of printed copies of GMR 3rd edition for sale.
Lastly, Matt Frank, one of the artists working on IDW's new Godzilla comic series, hopes to hang out with us on Saturday and will be available for autographs. Matt's appearance is tenative and subject to his availability.
We are just about finished revising and expanding Atomic Super Humans 2nd edition in preparation for the release of the printed edition through Amazon.com in late July/early August.
The revised and expanded edition will also be available as a PDF through RPGNow and Wargame Vault. If you have aleady purchased the current version of the game make sure you are signed up with the websites mentioned to receive updates when we upload new file versions. Once we upload the revised file you should get an email notifying you of the new file with a link allowing you to download it at no cost.
The revised and expanded version of Atomic Super Humans contains new classes, new powers, and a few other new surprises.
I would like to thank the staff at Timegate for allowing us to run demos of Giant Monster Rampage.
I would also like to thank everyone who stopped by to watch or play. We had a lot of fun and hope you did as well!
We are already making plans for Timegate 2012!
One of the things I set forth to do with the Toy Battle System is to create a series of games with interchangeable rules and combatants. I think I have accomplished this very well but every so often I come across a post from someone saying they wish X TBS game had more options.
The thing is they do have more options, you just need to look to the other TBS games for new abilities, powers, combat maneuvers, terrain, combatants…etc.
For example you could give your monster the ability to power up like a Power Warrior instead of having it roll randomly. You could also create an armored super hero using the Mega Bots rules to play in an Atomic Super Humans game.
There are currently 6 TBS core rulebooks available with 4 new playsets being released in 2011. All feature the ability to share many of their rules allowing for a wide variety of customization. There will also be a TBS optional rulebook that will allow you to add new levels of depth and complexity to your TBS games. A work in progress file of the optional rules is available at the
Don’t limit your games, expand them!

If you happen to see us at a convention this year this is what our demo set up will typically look like, although the assortment of combatants to choose from may change.
