With Sentai Heroes, our latest Toy Battle System playset, set to be released in a few weeks we thought it would be a good time to let you know a few of the new mechanics Sentai Heroes brings to the Toy Battle System.

Teams: Senati Heroes introduces teams to the Toy Battle System. The way this is done is by allowing players to choose between 3-5 team members per 100 points being used. Each team member is then given a unique archetype that details that member's role in the team as well as granting the member a special ability.

In order to keep the game geared towards team combat all members of a team share a single wound pool. This means that a team will never permanently lose individual members however, they can be temporarily incapacitated.

Charges: Unlike other Toy Battle System games that use a randomly rolled energy pool to activate powers team members buy charges for their powers. These charges are used to activate powers. One charge is one use of the power it was purchased for. Spent charges also have the possibility of of returning during a recharge phase of a player's turn.

Team Maneuvers: In a game about team combat it makes sense to have team combat maneuvers. Team maneuvers are special combat actions that can be performed by multiple team members as opposed to the standard Toy Battle System combat maneuvers that are performed by single combatants.
