Mega Bots Now Available at RPGNow! 03/24/2010

Picture
Mega Bots is a turn based combat game for two or more players set in a world where conventional weapons of war have been replaced with gargantuan robots. The game allows players to create and control a robot armed with a variety of weapons and special combat systems. Mega Bots gives players complete control over the creation of their bot. Players can create an existing bot from popular media or one from their own imagination. The possibilities are endless. The object of the game is simply to turn the opposing bots into scrap metal.

Mega Bots is a standalone game that can also be used as an expansion for any other Toy Battle SystemTM game. Other Toy Battle System games include Giant Monster Rampage 3rd edition and Power Warriors.

Demo Table 03/11/2010

Picture
If you happen to catch us at a convention this year this is pretty much what our demo table will look like as far as the terrain goes. The table is 4' X 4'. I plan on adding in some diecast vehicles and maybe some more trees for the combatants to throw around. There may also be a 6' version of the table depending on what size tables are available at the location.

Demos will feature combatants from multiple Toy Battle System games fighting against each other.

More information about what conventions we will be attending will be posted as each convention date approaches.

Mega Bots Armor Wars 03/04/2010

I recently purchased some of the Iron Man Super Hero Squad figures to use when playtesting Atomic Super Humans but decided to use the figures in a Mega Bots playtest first. I now think that power armored heroes and villians would be much better represented with Mega Bots even though they aren't "mega".

The playtest session consisted of Iron Man and War Machine vs Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man. I played the villains and my son played the heroes. The heroes wound up winning thanks to my son's excellent rolling and superior use of the 3-D birdhouse terrain we were using. I also made a few bad decisions when allocating my battery power.

Unfortunately my camera needed to be recharged so I didn't get to take any pictures.

I definitely think something similar may become one of the demos I run at conventions for Mega Bots!
