Bad Faeries 2nd Edition Preview 01/28/2011

Picture
Bad Faeries 2nd edition won't be released until the beginning of March but you can get a sneak peek at one of the faerie types now! Beware the Gnome!

GNOME
Points: 20
Gnomes are most commonly thought of as garden guardians which is why there is such a booming business in ceramic replicas of them to be used as lawn ornaments.

In reality gnomes are nothing more than kleptomaniacs compelled to steal mundane items and use them to create magical gadgets.

As long as a gnome is happy with its garden it will only steal items that can easily be replaced and won’t be missed. If a gnome is unhappy it will steal important things such as car keys, wallets, and even cell phones.

Special Ability, Tinker: All gnomes have the ability to take mundane objects and combine them into bizarre contraptions to aid them in their fight.

Once per round a gnome may spend magic points to increase its flit, nimbleness, wards, wariness, or close combat reach by 1(1” for reach). A gnome may increase the chosen statistic by 1 for every magic points spent to a maximum rating of 6 (6" for reach).

While gnomish gadgets help for the most part they aren’t entirely stable. Whenever this ability is used you must roll a d10. If a 1 is rolled the gadget has backfired and the gnome suffers 1 point of damage that can be absorbed as normal.
